Holy Spirit Mass Opens IHMS Formation Year

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary commenced the formation year 2024-2025 with a solemn Mass of the Holy Spirit on July 9, 2024, 9:00 AM. The Mass was held at the IHMS college chapel and was attended by all departments, including the priest formators and the faculty and staff of the institution. The Holy Mass was presided by the bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Tagbilaran, Most Rev. Leonardo Y. Medroso, D.D., JCD. Joining him as concelebrants were the IHMS priests; namely, Rev. Fr. Absalon B. Florenosos, Rev. Fr. Rommel H. Anico, Rev. Fr. Jose Zeno Vincent O. Gucor, Rev. Fr. Christian Josua G. Florenosos, Rev. Fr. Bernadine Jade Dionne V. Balite, and Rev. Fr. Rey Carlo P. Sajulan. In his homily, Bishop Medroso emphasized the ecclesiastical view on the historical origin of the significance of the Holy Spirit. Before the final blessing of the Holy Mass, Rev. Fr. Rommel H. Anico, Dean of Seminarians, announced that the total number of seminarians enrolled is 191. A special outing was also given to the seminarians.
