IHMS Holds October Recollection

Immaculate Heart of Seminary (IHMS) held a two-day recollection on October 11-12, 2024. Both the pre-college and college departments participated in the event. On the first day, at 5:45 PM, a moment of deep silence marked the beginning of the monthly recollection. A holy hour was held at 6:00 PM. After dinner, both departments watched the film "The Good Pope," which recounted the life of Pope St. John XXIII. On the second day, at 4:15 AM, both departments participated in a foot procession, during which the holy rosary was recited. Lauds was then observed, followed by a holy mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Expedito G. Rubio Jr. At 8:30 AM, Mr. Jesson J. Baculta, an alumnus of IHMS, gave an inspirational talk, sharing his life story and how the Blessed Virgin Mary became a significant part of his life. After the talk, each Gagmayng Kristohanong Katalingban (GKK) group engaged in a discussion about the lessons learned. The rest of the morning was dedicated to personal reflection and prayer. The two-day recollection concluded at 12:00 noon.
