IHMS Alumni Hold Homecoming

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary alumni held their annual homecoming on August 19, 2024. At 9 AM, it opened with a Mass presided by Most Rev. Antonieto Cabajog, D.D., together with Most Rev. Alberto Uy, D.D. and the clergy, at the Mascariñas Hall. After the mass, the alumni held a business meeting headed by Mr. Dominic Butalid, the alumni president. In the afternoon, the alumni, the clergy, and the IHMS varsity team played basketball games wherein the IHMS varsity team emerged victorious against the alumni, and the clergy over the alumni. The alumni had dinner at 6:00 PM, after which the program took place. Four first-year seminarians led the invocation; Rev. Fr. Absalon Florenosos, the IHMS rector, delivered the welcome address, and Alumni president Mr. Dominic Butalid gave a speech. The silver and ruby jubilarians were then awarded with certificates. Bishop Alberto Uy gave an inspirational message, after which the participating batches were duly acknowledged and the golden jubilarians were awarded. Atty. Roland Inting also gave an inspirational message which was followed by a video presentation by the Legite. The Izlaraga Band then performed for the rest of the night.
